Emily is Illinois PIRG’s Staff Attorney and Health Care Advocate. In
addition to conducting research and shaping Illinois PIRG’s health care
policy platform, Miller works with elected officials in Springfield, IL
to reform the health care system in Illinois. Miller is active in the
Health Care Justice Campaign, a coalition of Illinois’ leading health
care advocacy groups.
In
addition, Miller works with State Director Brian Imus on Illinois
PIRG’s other policy initiatives, including toxic toys, predatory
lending, and media reform.
Following
a year of service in AmeriCorps, Miller received her law degree from
DePaul University College of Law in 2006. She comes to Illinois PIRG
after working on a number of Chicago, Cook County, and State level
political campaigns.
